The first instrument that I tried to play (outside of school where I just didn't enjoy musical learning) was the drums. I gave up after a fairly short while as I just didn't get good enough at a fast enough rate to keep me trying. For my 40^th birthday my wife bought me a MIDI drum kit (probably in an attempt to get me to lose weight!) and this time the drumming bug stuck.

As well as a MIDI drum kit, I have an assortment of musical perihpery and ephemera which allow me to record my music or just make it more interesting.

I'm glad to say that the bits that get attached to guitars don't interest me half as much as the guitars themselves, or else I would have to file for bankruptcy. That said, I really could rant on for hours about how great the Marshall JMP1 MIDI preamp is!
